Nestled in the dunes above the shores of Lake Michigan, this house hosts unobstructed sunset views from indoor rooms as well as outdoor decks and terraces. A cascade of outdoor spaces leads through the site, echoed by the undulating roof form of the home.
The owners, a couple with grown children looking to downsize and live full-time by the lake, wanted a house that was low-key on approach but led to ‘wow’ moments upon further exploration. Inspiration was drawn from the elemental nature of the site and the prevalent textures of the beaches, trees and waves.
