Our new sunny design studio is brimming with ideas, resources, and talented staff. We are thrilled about how this space will inspire and enhance our creative processes. One end features windows (and even a porthole!) offering expansive views of Portage Bay. The other houses our model shop and material library, tucked under the timber-framed roof of the historic Jensen boat shed. In between are high-tech visualization tools like VR, alongside cardboard study models and sketch paper for brainstorming with clients and colleagues.
Neighborhood
The new location is behind and to the left of the delicious Saint Bread Bakery! Fritz Hedges Waterway Park, the Agua Verde Café and Paddle Club, the Burke Gilman Trail, and the University of Washington are all within a few minutes walk.
Come Visit
Suite 300 is on the top floor overlooking Portage Bay. Push the intercom if needed or come on up. The 37 steps will be worth it.
Call ahead and we can often reserve a space in the adjacent parking lot. Otherwise, there is 2-hour parking along NE Boat Street to the Northwest.
A History of Innovation
Our new home is on the top floor of the historic Jensen Motorboat Company boatbuilding shed on Portage Bay south of the University of Washington. Founded in 1927, Jensen was known for designing and building the most modern streamlined boats of its time. In the 1950’s, their hydroplanes won five consecutive Gold Cups and broke the World Water Speed Record speed twice (178.5 mph!). We are proud to carry on their spirit of craftsmanship, community, and innovation.
